We missed out on play group today since Audrey was up early! After a late, short nap yesterday, and an early morning today, I figured we'd stay home to get back on schedule. We went outside this morning to play at the play ground. Audrey met a new friend. She and Audrey had lots of fun together, and Audrey was quite the leader, showing this girl what she wanted her to do! They played well together, and I am thankful that even though they do not speak the same language, they can still have fun playing.
Two funny moments from today:
Audrey got up from nap this afternoon and was playing with her dry erase markers. She told me she was going to be a kitty (I was working on something else...and then it dawned on me what she meant!) I figured I might as well turn her into a "real" kitty instead of just letting her scribble all over her face like she had already started to do! She very excitedly exclaimed, "Thank you, Mama!" when I was all done. She wouldn't open her eyes for me when I was taking her picture, and she was pretending to lick her "paw" like cats do. :)
Today's lesson: Audrey needs face paint...or a kitty. I think we'll get some face paint! :)
Later, Audrey told me she was trying to break her finger so that she can get a new one when I asked her why she was trying to twist it around and around. She whined to me that, "Yeah, I just want to get a new finger! Yeahhhh..." (said in the best whine voice you can imagine.) Umm...why would you want to break your finger and get a new one? I told her that's not how we get new fingers. Oh, Audrey. How do you come up with this stuff?
